Prior to co-founding VinsonCap Advisors, Shalabh worked at Lone Star Funds as a member of the origination, underwriting and investment team. Prior to Lone Star, Shalabh was a Managing Director on the Capital Markets Syndicate desk at Citigroup. Shalabh began his career in 1991 at Salomon Brothers in investment banking and then worked on the Capital Markets and Liability Management desks. In 1997, Shalabh co-founded the structured credit desk at Salomon Brothers and spent over a decade in structured credit at Salomon/Citigroup where he was a Managing Director and co-head of structuring and syndication. In 2009, Shalabh helped establish StormHarbour Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on structured products where he was the head of structured credit trading. He is a graduate of Columbia University where he earned a B.A. in Economics from Columbia College and a B.S. in Operations Research from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and was a Bishop Scholar.
