Shalabh Mehrish Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer
Prior to co-founding VinsonCap Advisors, Shalabh worked at Lone Star Funds as a member of the origination, underwriting and investment team. Prior to Lone Star, Shalabh was a Managing Director on the Capital Markets Syndicate desk at Citigroup. Shalabh began his career in 1991 at Salomon Brothers in investment banking and then worked on the Capital Markets and Liability Management desks. In 1997, Shalabh co-founded the structured credit desk at Salomon Brothers and spent over a decade in structured credit at Salomon/Citigroup where he was a Managing Director and co-head of structuring and syndication. In 2009, Shalabh helped establish StormHarbour Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on structured products where he was the head of structured credit trading. He is a graduate of Columbia University where he earned a B.A. in Economics from Columbia College and a B.S. in Operations Research from the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and was a Bishop Scholar.
S. Intesar Haider Founding Partner and Chief Operating Officer
Intesar has been involved in the structured credit markets since 1999, first at Merrill Lynch and then at Citigroup. He started his career in investment banking in 1992 at Dean Witter Reynolds in New York and subsequently moved to Peregrine Capital in Asia. Prior to co-founding VinsonCap Advisors, Intesar was a Managing Director in the structured credit group at Sterne, Agee & Leach. Prior to Sterne, Agee & Leach, Intesar helped establish StormHarbour Partners, a boutique investment bank focused on structured products. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where he earned a B.B.A. He also earned an MBA from the Anderson School at the UCLA.
Christopher DeSantis Founding Partner and Head of Trading
Prior to co-founding VinsonCap Advisors, Christopher was a Senior Vice President in the structured credit group at Sterne, Agee & Leach. Prior to Sterne, Agee & Leach Christopher was a senior member in the structured products group at StormHarbour Partners. Previously Christopher worked at Maxim Group in the structured products group helping build the distribution and trading efforts from 2005-2009. Christopher started his career on the trading floor of the NYMEX for REFCO. He is a graduate of Seton Hall University where he earned a B.S. in Economics. He also earned an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.
